Places are the job addresses that show up most in each county's permits. Some cities run their own building department (St. Petersburg, Largo, Lakeland, Winter Haven, Plant City, Temple Terrace); permits filed with those city offices aren't in the feed yet, but permits in the county areas around them are.

Trade permit or project?
A trade contractor already pulled this permit — they were hired. Useful for adjacent trades and market intel.
The permit was pulled by the property owner or a general contractor — subcontractors may still be needed. This is the direct opportunity.
At a glance, you'll know whether the job is already staffed or still needs subs.

Questions
Where does the data come from?
Public permit records from the six sources listed above: City of Tampa, Hillsborough County (unincorporated), Pinellas County, City of Clearwater, Pasco County, and Polk County (unincorporated). Every permit links back to the county record.
How fresh is it?
The feed syncs daily. Page stats and samples only ever show permits filed in the last 30 days.
What does a lead include?
Permit type, job address, city, job value when the county publishes it, trade tags, and a county-record link. Contact info (phone, email) is shown on the project page when the county record includes it — not every permit has it, and we never invent it.
What's a Trade permit vs a Project?
Trade permit: A trade contractor already pulled this permit — they were hired. Useful for adjacent trades and market intel. Project: The permit was pulled by the property owner or a general contractor — subcontractors may still be needed. This is the direct opportunity.
How do the alerts work?
We check the county portals throughout the day. Each morning around 7 AM Eastern, we email you one daily digest with every new permit matching your trade and area. No matches, no email.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, month-to-month. Cancel during the 7-day trial and you are never charged. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers your first paid month if you don't find the alerts useful.
I spent 15 years running my own contracting company, and now I help other contractors and home service pros find work. I built PermitSniper because I watched too many good small shops lose jobs simply because they never had an edge, or had access to the high priced platforms. PermitSniper does the digging so you don't have to. It reads Florida building departments every day and sends you the permits that fit your trade, so you can be the first contractor to call instead of the fourth. No big-platform price tag, no racing five other guys to the same phone call. Just the jobs, in your inbox, every day.
